My mother started with the first owner as the head cook. They saw a desire in Eastman, GA. for a home-cooked southern meal. You know, like the stuff grandma cooked after church on Sundays. I watched my mom and grandmother cook these type of meals regularly.

As I grew up, I needed a job as all teenagers do, so my mom got me a job washing dishes. The day I walked in and washed my first plate I knew that I'd own my restaurant one day...For 15 years I worked every hour I could learning every aspect of the business. Mom and I help build this business day by day. We watched it get sold to a great set of owners that took it to the next level.

After 12 years they got older and wanted to retire and give my husband and I the opportunity to purchase the business. A dream come true and a blessing, so that we did. We mean it when we say we are a family/employee-owned business.
